CALL FOR PAPERS ONLINE or On-site

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Authors can submit their abstracts of ORAL/WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS and SYMPOSIA in modalities ONLINE or on-site. Abstracts can be sent only through our computer application, which can be found at the bottom at the end of this page (Submit abstract). Works in English, Spanish or Portuguese will be accepted. Abstracts (between 200 and 300 words) must include the following sections:

 

-Introduction, Objective, Method, Results, and Conclusions.

 

-If the submission is not strictly a research work, the methodology must be clearly specified.

Deadline for abstract submission is September 4, 2020. Only abstracts submitted through our electronic application will be considered for review.

The scientific program will be available on-line on September 28, 2020.The program will remain intact after that date.

BEST WRITTEN COMMUNICATION (POSTERS) AT THE 8th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS of EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES and DEVELOPMENT AWARD

Three written communications will be selected and awarded for their methodological quality and presentation format.

The Organization announces the Award in the category “Written Communication“, in which all accepted written communications will compete and be presented at the Congress on-site and online.

The judges will be members of the Scientific Committee. The three best communications will receive an honorable mention at the closing ceremony and will be published on the Congress website. In order to qualify for prizes in the on-site poster category, a photocopy of the Poster in A4 size will be required to be given to the poster room manager.

IMPORTANT: Once the event is finished, and within a period of 30 days, the electronic book of abstracts (with ISBN) will be available on-line. This book of abstract will include all the accepted abstracts in the 8th International Congress of Educational Sciences and Development. Authors will have the opportunity to publish their works in chapter format. In the online modality, the posters in PDF already submitted for presentation will be evaluated for prizes.

To submit work for its review and publication in chapter format, please use our electronic application. Those chapters accepted by the Scientific Committee will be published in a Book of Chapters with ISBN. Also, the best works presented at the 8nd International Congress of Educational Sciences and Development (chosen by the Scientific Committee through a peer-review process) will be published as Call Paper in the journal

WINNING POSTERS Here

IMPORTANT: at least one of the authors must be registered for the congress before submitting an abstract (in case of abstract rejection, the author may request a refund of the registration fee). Submissions by authors who are not registered in the Congress will not be considered for review.

  • A registered author can submit a maximum of two papers, of these only one in a guest symposium, but cannot sign more than five works.

  • A least one of the authors of a presented work must be registered BEFORE submitting an abstract. If the abstract is rejected, the author may request a refund of the registration fee.

  • The work must be presented by one of the authors registered for the Congress. Only registered authors will receive a certificate of presentation. The certificate will display first and last name of all authors.

  • The certificate of presentation will be given only if the work has been presented during the congress.

  • Prior to the event celebration, the electronic book of abstract (with ISBN) will be available on-line. This book of abstract will include all the accepted abstracts in the 8th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS of EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES and DEVELOPMENT. Works that are not presented during the Congress will not be included in the book of abstracts.

  • In addition, authors will have the possibility to present one of their accepted works through the computer application indicated for this purpose, in chapter format. Accepted chapters will be published in a Book of Chapters with ISBN.

  • The best works presented at the 8th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS of EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES and DEVELOPMENT will be selected by the scientific committee, by peer evaluation, for possible publication in the journals detailed in the link “Call for Paper Journals”.

ALL PROPOSALS WILL BE PRESENTED IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING FORMATS

ORAL COMMUNICATION

ON-SITE MODALITY

Oral communications will be 10 minutes long. The Scientific Committee will group abstracts according to their topic or area of study.

ONLINE MODALITY

The time allowed for an oral communication is 10 minutes. Once the abstract has been accepted, the oral communication recorded on video must be sent through the platform available on the Congress website, within the dates established for this purpose. The individual abstracts accepted for oral presentation will be grouped by the scientific committee in symposia following the thematic areas proposed in the Congress.

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION

ON-SITE MODALITY

Each poster will be exhibited for 2 hours. The authors will be able to comment on their work to those interested in the last 10 minutes of the session. The Committee will assign each written communication to one of the poster sessions according to the main topic or area of study. 

The poster size must be 70x90cm (vertical format).

 

ONLINE MODALITY

Once the abstract is accepted, the poster must be sent in PDF format and dimension A-4, through the platform available on the Congress website, within the dates established for this purpose.

SYMPOSIUM

ON-SITE MODALITY

Each symposium will be 90 minutes long, allowing for the presentation of three or four oral communications (presented by different authors) of 20-25 minutes each, followed by a 30-minute general discussion. To send a proposal for the presentation of a symposium, the symposium's coordinator must submit an overall abstract, a list of all participants, and an abstract of each communication.


For the symposium to be accepted, there must be an author responsible for presentation, different for each of the included communications, that is previously registered in the congress.

ONLINE MODALITY

Each symposium will last 90 minutes, making it possible to present a minimum of five and a maximum of six oral communications. For the submission of a proposal for the presentation of a symposium, the symposium coordinator is required to present a general abstract with a list of the speakers who will participate, and an individual abstract of each communication as indicated by the application. Once the proposal is accepted, the full symposium recorded on video must be sent through the platform available on the Congress website, within the dates established for this purpose.

For the symposium to be accepted, there must be an author responsible for presentation, different for each of the communications included, who is previously registered in Congress.
